I offer no logical explanation as to why Kenshin and Kikyo are fighting. I really had no other reason for drawing this other than "I thought it would look cool".
About halfway into it, I began to notice a mountain of mistakes:
-Kenshin being left-handed
-The arrow Ken caught is facing the wrong way
-Kikyo's pants are a bit big
-The missing string that goes around Kikyo's neck
Kikyo is also left-handed, but I guess it could be argued that she took her bow into that hand in order to catch Ken's sword with her right. I was deathly afraid to add a background out of fear of ruining it. Also, the scan kinda sucks because I had to reduce the size so much (yes, it was that big).
And I want to hug my good buddy Amanda for providing the markers I used for Ken's hair and shirt! Sank yuu Amanda! ;P
EDIT: Since people have been asking - Yes it's black blood, because that's how Takahashi does it, and it's like that in the Inu-Yasha anime.
That's...beyond cool O.O I love people who are able to color with markers in a way where it doesn't look like marker anymore O.O The expressions and overall look is awesome. Great job D
