Artist's Comments
Once or twice a year D*sneyland holds a pin design contest for Cast Members only. I entered back in January of this year with my Alice design. In March they told me that they had selected my design (along with 3 other winners) to be made into an actual pin. I'm actually quite happy with how it came out, it was pretty darn close to my original design. They had to change a few elements and squish everything in there, but considering my original sketch was pretty detailed I'd say they did a good job.
My pin was released on August 15, 2009. All the winners were asked to come to the release event and sign our respective pins that the guests bought. But please don't ask where you can find my pin, it was a limited edition of 500 made (and I signed almost every one that morning) and they sold out 2 hours and 15 minutes after they were released. Oh man, congratulations on winning! Your pin is beautiful. (Though I have to say, I prefer the drawn version to the pin version. They had to squash up the elements quite a bit for the pin. Still looks awesome, though.)
